Foods that are considered
safe (and not safe) for your hamster to eat Remember when giving your
hamster fresh food to only feed small amounts so it won’t go mouldy in the
cage If collecting food from
outdoors then make sure it is not from an area where pesticides are used and
always wash thoroughly before giving to the hamster Foods with an asterisk *

These are foods which ours or other hamsters have eaten and been
fine with. Like people hamsters can sometimes be intolerant or allergic to
some things so always try anything new in moderation to check if it is OK for
your individual hamster. This is not an exhaustive list; if you know of anything we are
